Role will include daily collaboration with other test engineers and power ecosystem as well as product engineers. Use power measurement equipment to collect measurements for system use cases on test platform. Test planning and execution of test cases for Power and debugging of SW related issues/problems on all Qualcomm chipset for various HLOS and non-HLOS Subsystems (Android, Windows etc.). Execution of functional/features tests for power/thermal SW and power/ thermal characterization/optimization.
Provide test results and characterization/optimization data to cross functional teams.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Preferred Qualifications2+ years Systems Test Engineering or related work experienceUnderstanding of SW product life cycle and experience with SW test methodologiesSystems/HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.)Experience in any operating systems platform testing (Google Android, Windows phone etc)Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsHigh level organization and results documentationPassion for learning and intellectual curiosityCommunication and ability to partner with othersExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyMust be flexible, independent, and self-motivatedOperating systems concepts - scheduling, memory management and device drivers is a plusThermal/Power test experience on any platform is a plusUsing debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers is a plusKnowledge of Power and Thermal SW features is a plusKnowledge/experience of embedded systems is a plusKnowledge of Thermal Device Profile is a plusExperience with Ubuntu/Linux server OS and related tools is a plusDevelopment skills in Python, C/C++ is a plusQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
