Product Specialist, Clearing
Type: Full Time / Direct Hire
Location: Chicago, IL - this role requires 3 days per week in office

Responsibilities
Product Development
- Own delivery of clearing system, regulatory reporting, and post-trade features for listed/cleared derivatives
- Partner with Risk on margin engine configuration, collateral valuation, and settlement workflows
- Maintain data models for trade settlement, position management, and transaction reporting
- Support clearing member portal and third-party integrations (FIX, APIs, Kafka)
- Conduct market/competitive research to inform roadmap
- Write functional specs (APIs, workflows, data schemas) for engineering
Customer Support
- Serve as primary technical/product contact for owned features
- Ensure service quality and issue resolution
- Support customer onboarding and API conformance
- Manage key customer/vendor relationships
Qualificatio ns
- 5+ years of product management experience in capital markets, specifically clearing/transaction processing systems
- Strong grasp of the post-trade lifecycle for derivatives (futures, options, swaps, or prediction markets)
- Familiarity with FCMs and their integration with DCMs/DCOs
- Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks (CFTC, SEC, EMIR) and financial system auditing
- Comfort querying/analyzing data independently (SQL, Python) to validate systems and write data-driven requirements
- Familiarity with modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven systems, distributed ledgers)
