Product Specialist / Business AnalystCRD is currently expanding the capabilities of our products in several new areas. The Product Specialist / Business Analyst is a member of the QA team and is considered a product expert. The primary responsibility of the Specialist is to assure that our software products effectively aid our end users with their financial and investment needs.
In consultation with our financial industry clients and internal product teams, he/she utilizes business and technical knowledge to improve product performance. The Specialist ensures that our software and services are productive and efficient. He/she must be familiar with both financial and technical concepts.
The Specialist works within a specific module of the product and several instrument types (equity, fixed income, derivatives, FX etc). As developments in the investment industry unfold, the end users will request additional features for the product; the Specialist will keep up to date with the industry and assist development in implementing these new features into the software product. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level engineering team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space.Responsibilities:Apply detail knowledge of Equity and/or Fixed Income Trading workflows to assist in product developmentUtilize expertise in specific product areas to ensure the product meets customer expectationsInvolvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle, including working directly with customers and the product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specificationsPartner with development to implement and refine featuresPlan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processesProvide feedback on product performanceReview documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentationProvide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releasesAssist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issuesWork in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environmentRequirements:MS in financial or technical field; BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related areaFirm understanding of various investments classes and security typesDetailed knowledge of domestic and international Equity and / or Fixed Income workflows, derivative strategies and analyticsKnowledge of US and non-US securitiesExperience with financial software such as Client, Reuters etcStrong analytical skillsDemonstrated planning and scheduling skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written); good interpersonal skills; ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector
