We work with every part of The Walt Disney Company's media portfolio to advance the technological foundation and consumer media touch points serving millions of people around the world.We are seeking a skilled Product Software Engineer II to join our Content Platform Engineering team, focusing on building and enhancing platform capabilities with a strong emphasis on enhancing and supporting our existing ingest & packaging platform and workflows. Our team develops and manages a diverse suite of products and services that power Disney's media supply chain, enabling content delivery for iconic brands like Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, ABC, Marvel, and Star Wars.In this role, you will be expected to develop backend and frontend solutions working as part of a team of software engineers, contributing to solve complex problems within the realm of fulfilling, validating, packaging, and delivering assets and metadata to all our internal and external partners.Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:Write and Maintain Software Solutions: Design, write, test, and deploy high-quality code to develop reliable, maintainable software solutions.Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with platform engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions effectively support business goals and content strategies.Production Support: Monitor and optimize production systems, ensuring platform stability, performance, and uptime.Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training or work experience3+ years of experience in technical fieldProficiency in object-oriented programming and software developmentKnowledge of non-relational database systems, such as MongoDB and DynamoDB.Knowledge of cloud providers like AWS or other cloud technologies.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and NodeJS.Knowledge of React and Docker.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Consistent and proactive self-starter.
