Product Procurement EngineerHuman Castle Recruiting is supporting an international capital equipment manufacturer in the acquisition of a Product Procurement Engineer in Northern Buffalo. This is a direct-hire role with full benefits including two yearly bonuses. The Product Procurement Engineer supports the Purchasing Department by managing the procurement of engineered components in a capital equipment manufacturing environment.
The hired incumbent is responsible for:Participate in project teams with coordination between designers and suppliersApply Engineering knowledge to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and codesManage overall cost of projects and ensure on-time delivery of componentsSecure quotes and place purchase ordersMaintain orders, schedules, and shortage reportsSupport production requirementsMonitor supplier performanceManage NCRs, including corrective and preventive actionsDevelop and support cost reduction & negotiationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field3 years of experience working in a capital equipment environment3 years of experience working with an ERP or MSRP or SAP systemPreferred:Demonstrated proficiency with PED, ASME and other industry codesExperience delivering Executive Level PresentationsProven track record of strong negotiation skills in an Engineering environmentCompany WILL NOT provide sponsorship now or in the future.
