Position Details
- Location: 100% Remote (candidates must reside in the U.S. or Canada)

About the Role
- Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a Product Owner to support its Retirement Services business
- This role partners with business stakeholders and delivery teams to define, prioritize, and deliver product features
- Retirement services experience is not required; strong financial services experience is valued
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business goals
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into actionable work for delivery teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business and technology teams
- Make timely decisions on scope, priorities, and trade-offs
- Review completed work and confirm it meets acceptance criteria
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Project Manager
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience writing user stories and managing a backlog
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in asset management or wealth management
- Exposure to retirement services, such as defined contribution or 401(k) plans
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO, or similar)
