The Wealth Management (WM) division helps people, businesses and institutions build, preserve, and manage wealth. WM Platforms manages industry‑leading platforms across all WM channels and client segments to deliver a unified digital experience, unlock growth and improve efficiencies for advisors, clients and institutions. The WM Platforms structure includes nine sub‑teams: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow Solutions, Digital Trading & Investing, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution, Business Control & Support, and the Chief Operating Office.
Role Overview
The Product Platforms team coordinates activities between business units (trading desk, sales, product, legal, compliance, risk) and the Tech & Ops organizations. In this role you will become a subject matter expert in Capital Markets business flows, initially focusing on Syndicates and Structured Products, and lead a team of two people to manage project delivery.
What You'll Do In The Role
- Support product owners with definition and prioritization of product roadmap, release planning, and development and communication of business requirements.
- Assist with critical user journeys, use cases, workflows and business processes that align with the product vision and address user and control needs.
- Support prioritized product backlog, identify, groom and validate epics and user stories for agile sprints.
- Assist with backlog refinement and sprint planning ceremonies to communicate requirements.
- Specify acceptance criteria, review testing cases and oversee user acceptance testing as needed.
- Analyze, define and manage data flows/models and diverse datasets to define requirements and expected behavior for Morgan Stanley’s digital planning solutions.
- Work closely with the technology team to assure effective communication of requirements and rapid delivery of key product releases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from business, technology, UX, risk, cyber & fraud, communications, legal & compliance to elicit requirements.
- Prepare presentations, user demos and status updates.
- Gather, organize and assimilate internal and external feedback to identify and prioritize product gaps, enhancements and new features.
- Collaborate with UI/UX team to develop information/interaction architecture, user flows, wireframes and visual design comps.
- Team up with program management office to effectively organize and plan product releases.
- Define, collect and track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics and evangelize for adoption.
Skills Required
- Minimum 9.5 years of relevant experience across work and higher education.
- 5+ years of experience as a software business or systems analyst with a track record of delivering innovative web or mobile applications within an agile/scrum development process.
- Proven track record of delivering successful digital products on time and within scope.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- BA or BS preferred, but not required.
