About Mainstreet™

Since 1982, Mainstreet™ has provided technology solutions that help businesses in the auto glass industry operate efficiently and achieve growth goals. As North America's leading glass software provider, we offer an integrated suite of products and services, including Glas-Avenue™ point-of-sale software, Front Line 24/7™ call center services, custom websites and web services, and payment processing. Built on a foundation of integrity, reliability, and customer partnership, we combine deep industry expertise with a commitment to innovation and exceptional service.

The Opportunity

Mainstreet™ is seeking a Product Manager with B2B SaaS experience to join our team. Mainstreet's Glas-Avenue™ platform helps auto shops across the US and Canada quote jobs, schedule installers, order parts, create invoices, and get paid. As we invest in the platform's next phase of growth, we're looking for a product leader who can translate customer needs and business goals into a clear, actionable roadmap. We value sound judgment, ownership, and follow-through over pedigree.

As our first Product Manager, you will define the product direction for a profitable software company that auto glass and flat glass shops have relied on for decades. You'll dig into customer pain points and use data, customer insights, and real-world conversations to inform product priorities. You’ll own the roadmap and present product strategy, metrics, and progress directly to the board. This is an opportunity to build our product function from the ground up, with the autonomy to shape both the product and how we develop it.

The Product Manager will partner closely with the Technical Advisor and report to the COO.

What You’ll Own:

  • Product strategy and prioritization: Define product priorities, balance competing requests from sales, support, and leadership, and make decisive tradeoffs.

  • Customer discovery and feedback: Join sales and retention calls, speak with shop owners and front-desk staff, and use customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement or expansion

  • Roadmap: Design and own a roadmap that balances opportunities with business needs; set realistic milestones and timelines for delivery, and present product strategy, progress, and key metrics directly to the board

  • Product requirements and documentation: Lead backlog triage and sprint planning with engineering, ensuring tickets have clear requirements and defined criteria for readiness and completion

  • Product Delivery and QA: Oversee QA process, confirming all releases pass quality standards before delivery to customers

  • Integrations and partnerships: Manage requirements and partner conversations for key integrations, including parts and pricing data (NAGS), insurance EDI, payments, and vendor ordering

  • Pricing and packaging: Help shape product pricing and packaging as our platform and customer needs evolve

  • Customer communication: Maintain a public changelog and roadmap so customers can stay informed about product updates and what's coming next

What You Bring:

  • 4+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS; prior experience with software that helps manage physical work, such as field service or shop management in automotive or construction is a strong plus

  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability; you feel prepared and excited to define, build, and manage the product function

  • Experience leading a product through significant change while maintaining customer trust and adoption

  • Confidence and polish in presenting to a board, explaining tradeoffs, defending your recommendations, and communicating setbacks

  • Structure and leadership; you are able to break down complex needs into clear requirements that inform and guide engineering execution

  • Deeply comfortable with data; you can read database schema, interpret insights, and translate discoveries into strategy and solutions

  • Customer-focused problem solver; you get excited about opportunities to improve and enhance the customer experience

  • Proficiency with modern product tools and practices, including session-replay, Jira, and AI-assisted development

  • The ability to build trust quickly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineers, shop owners, and board members

Nice to Have

  • Experience in auto glass, collision repair, or insurance claims workflows

  • Familiarity with EDI or parts catalog integrations

  • Experience with SaaS pricing and packaging

  • Working proficiency in French to support our Canadian customers

  • Comfortable reading and/or writing SQL
