Product Manager - Payments & Banking Infrastructure
Full-time/Permanent role | Remote
We’re looking for a high agency, domain-strong Product Manager (or aspiring PM) to help us build a brand-new product in the fast-evolving world of payments and bank data infrastructure. If you're someone who’s sharp, scrappy, and energized by messy, 0→1 environments , this could be your ideal next move.
This isn’t just about building features—this is an opportunity to define the foundation of a product that safeguards financial transactions across employee payroll, vendor payouts, and customer payments. You’ll play a key role in shaping a product that prevents fraud, validates account ownership, and adds trust to every transfer.
If you’ve worked at a company like Stripe , Plaid , or within payment network ecosystems , and are looking for your next big product challenge, we’d love to hear from you—even if you’ve never held a formal Product Manager title before.
What You’ll Do
- Lead product discovery and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate problem statements around payment fraud prevention and bank account verification.
- Build and own core modules that touch areas like payment rails, account ownership validation, and transaction risk detection.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to translate domain expertise into scalable product features.
- Continuously evolve the product strategy based on customer feedback and emerging trends in payment security and infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong domain experience in the payments ecosystem — whether via banking, fintech, or infrastructure platforms like Plaid, Stripe, or B2B payment networks.
- Understanding of payment rails , fraud detection , and banking infrastructure .
- Exposure to products used for vendor payments , payroll , or customer transactions .
- You don’t need to be a senior product leader—but you should be high-agency problem solver, hands‑on, and deeply curious about building in this space.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to distill complex financial workflows into clear, scalable solutions.
Bonus Points For
- Prior experience working in early-stage product development or 0-to-1 environments.
- Experience building internal tools or enterprise SaaS in finance, compliance, or data infrastructure.
- Technical fluency in banking APIs, security protocols, or payment risk modelling.
