Litigation Associate Attorney – Proposition 65 / Product LiabilityDirect Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join the Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions practice of a leading Am Law 100 law firm in either its San Francisco or Palo Alto office. This role sits within a nationally recognized team and focuses heavily on California Proposition 65 matters.Key Responsibilities:Support and manage complex litigation matters, with a focus on Proposition 65 and related product liability issuesConduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategyDraft high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondenceAssist with all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparationCollaborate closely with partners, associates, and business professionals across officesInteract directly with clients, providing regular updates and practical legal guidanceEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and evolving legal standardsQualifications:JD from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in California2–4 years of litigation experience, ideally from an Am Law 100 firmExperience with Proposition 65, product liability, mass torts, or complex litigation strongly preferredExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working both independently and collaborativelyWork Environment:Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote workCompensation:Expected salary range: $235,000 – $310,000 (Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and overall qualifications.)Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) planPaid vacation and sick timePaid family leaveAdditional firm-sponsored benefits and wellness resourcesThis opportunity offers hands-on litigation experience, meaningful client interaction, and the chance to grow within a highly regarded national practice.
