Litigation Associate Attorney - Proposition 65 / Product Liability
Location: San Francisco or Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid)
Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join the Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions practice of a leading Am Law 100 law firm in either its San Francisco or Palo Alto office. This role sits within a nationally recognized team and focuses heavily on California Proposition 65 matters .

Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join the Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions practice of a leading Am Law 100 law firm in either its San Francisco or Palo Alto office. This role sits within a nationally recognized team and focuses heavily on California Proposition 65 matters .
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and manage complex litigation matters, with a focus on Proposition 65 and related product liability issues
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategy
- Draft high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence
- Assist with all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and business professionals across offices
- Interact directly with clients, providing regular updates and practical legal guidance
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and evolving legal standards
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in California
- 2-4 years of litigation experience , ideally from an Am Law 100 firm
- Experience with Proposition 65, product liability, mass torts, or complex litigation strongly preferred
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work
- Expected salary range: $235,000 - $310,000
(Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and overall qualifications.)
