- Ensure the co‑creation and refinement of requirements (business value)
- Understand and anticipate the needs of the stakeholders and customers.
- Represent the Business stakeholders to the team.
- Understand the technical scope of the Cloud Service(s) required for your product.
- Act as primary communicator and liaison between the stakeholders and the team and ensure all channels of communication are open as required.
- Ensure that the product group is always working towards delivering the highest business value.
- Inspect progress at the end of every iteration (sprintly/bi‑sprintly) with complete authority to accept or reject work done.
- Capture stakeholder feedback during reviews to refine existing product backlog items or create new ones for future consideration.
- Change the course of the increment at the end of every iteration, as necessary, to ensure that the desired business value is delivered.
- Help the team prioritize risk mitigation and technical debt reduction.
- Ensure that cross‑product group impacts related to their initiatives are communicated to other product group(s) when applicable.
- Ensure that cross‑product group impacts that have been communicated by other product group(s) are discussed and addressed as applicable.
- Convey the initiative vision/objective and key results; and ensuring it is understood by the Pod Product Owners.
- Convey the objectives at the beginning of every release/iteration and ensure it is understood by the team.
- Generate and maintain the list of work to be completed by the pod(s).
- Write product backlog items along with acceptance criteria.
- Ensure the refinement of requirements (work) occurs so that the development team can confidently commit to the completion/delivery of work.
- Continuously prioritizing and sequencing the backlog to ensure that the team can deliver the highest business value iteratively and incrementally.
- Participate in the check‑ins, planning meetings, reviews, retrospective and refinement as determined and defined by the team.
- Make the work visible and transparent to the team.
- Mitigate identified risk, taking inputs from all members of the team and prioritizing risk backlog items appropriately.
Skills and Experience Required
- 7+ years of experience.
- Experience leading and mentoring other Product Managers.
- Demonstrated knowledge in product development, backlog management, stakeholder integration.
- Experience influencing at senior levels across matrixed structures to drive outcomes.
- Solid grounding in Cloud technologies across one or more Cloud Service providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience in using tools such as JIRA/Confluence for managing backlogs.
- Proven experience building long‑term roadmaps for complex technical products.
