Job DescriptionIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Deliver reliable test results by accurately performing routine setups, calibrations, and repetitive testing that engineers depend on for decision-makingBuild and maintain critical hardware by fabricating test rigs, fixtures, harnesses, and assembling electronic and mechanical systemsEnsure measurement accuracy by installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instruments like gauges, transducers, and fuel/oil test systemsMinimize downtime by quickly diagnosing and repairing issues in test cells, cooling systems, and data acquisition setupsSupport engineering efficiency by correctly reading wiring diagrams and executing test plans with precision and consistencyProvide actionable insights by documenting clear, standardized test results that help teams validate performance and improve designsStrengthen cross-functional collaboration by effectively working with engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issuesDrive continuous improvement by contributing to quality procedures, audits, and process enhancement initiativesExternal Qualifications and CompetenciesTo be successful, you will need to consistently demonstrate the following:Build trust in your work by consistently producing accurate, high-quality data—carefully preparing samples, verifying calibrations, and strictly following test proceduresCommunicate results clearly so others can act on them—organize your reports to explain test methods, settings, data, and insights in a way engineers and customers can easily understandThink like a system designer by selecting and integrating the right instruments, equipment, and software to meet test requirements and ensure reliable data collectionExecute precise builds and setups by assembling test articles and configuring test environments correctly, with attention to instrumentation placement, safety, and test integrityTake initiative and ownership by approaching tasks with urgency, energy, and a willingness to tackle new challenges without waiting to be askedStrengthen your problem-solving by staying organized and level-headed when dealing with complex systems, large amounts of data, or unclear situationsDeliver consistent results under pressure by making sound, timely decisions and following through, even when conditions are challengingPrioritize safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement by promoting safe practices, maintaining equipment proactively, learning from maintenance data, and valuing diverse perspectives in collaborative environmentsEducation, Licenses, Certifications: High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required. Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
