Pay Rate: $40.00-$51.70/ Hr on W2

High-Level Overview

  • The candidate for this role will manage transversal product development projects that may include strategic catalog maintenance updates, plant transfers, new product launches, etc.
  • Essentially, this person will serve as a go-to resource to provide short-term coverage for leaves within the team, such as maternity leave.
  • Once fully onboarded, the candidate will be able to fully manage a product launch from start to finish with minimal input from their manager.
  • We are looking for a seasoned developer, preferably someone with prior experience with the client and/or someone who is a quick study.


What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage project timelines, identifying key tasks and milestones and minimizing areas of risk to ensure on-time launches in compliance with quality systems.
  • Present launch and transversal project reviews and drive risk escalations to Operational and Divisional leadership teams.
  • Guide Marketing in new innovation product briefs and conception definitions to ensure alignment with agility, profitability, and sustainability objectives.
  • Engage Operations and cross-functional stakeholders in participation and ownership of transversal projects.
  • Lead project review meetings and drive resolution of roadblocks impacting projects.
  • Analyze and drive launch viability in terms of cost, timeline, and sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain professional knowledge of new or emerging trends within the Product Development discipline.
  • Drive risk assessments with cross-functional partners within Operations and Research & Innovation to create and track mitigation plans and secure approval of sound technical backup options to maintain project timelines.
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, and R&D on harmonization, profitability, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage plant transfers as requested.
  • Serve as a communication link between Divisional and Industrial teams.
  • Manage projects through QCP, including all aspects of the process.
  • Manage feasibility costs and COG analysis.
  • Provide Value Analysis support to plants and the team.
  • Coordinate Research & Development activities.
  • Research and develop packaging components.
  • Manage project work as necessary or required.
  • Interface with manufacturing management and associated or related functional areas.
  • Provide Development support to team members as needed on projects, including guidance on feasibility costing related to aesthetic choices to ensure timely and cost-effective launches.
  • Coordinate meetings, minutes, and follow-ups.


Qualifications

  • Senior Manager-level candidate with 4+ years of experience in package/product development and project management, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, pharma, food, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Technical packaging experience is a plus.
  • Must be collaborative and able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence effectively at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and information for each project.
  • Continuously develop and stay updated on new trends and technologies.
  • Ability to assume a leadership role within the Product Development team and support special projects as needed.
  • Experience developing products for global markets is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to work onsite in the office, as this is an essential function of the position.
