Product Developer / DesignerGymreapers is looking for a Product Developer / Designer who has personally owned both halves of the job, the design and the development. This is not a designer who hands concepts to a developer, and it's not a developer who waits on someone else's designs. You'll take softgoods and accessories from a sketch on day one all the way to a production-ready product.

Products could include anything from belts, straps, wraps, bags, training gear, or apparel.You'll design product athletes love, build the tech packs that make it real, negotiate it through our overseas factories, and shepherd it through sampling to production. You'll partner with sourcing, creative, marketing, and our existing in-house product team, but the design and development belong to you.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development process from concept through production, ensuring products meet our standards for quality, fit, and constructionTurn market, competitor, and athlete insight into concepts, sketches, and design directionIdentify opportunities for innovation across new and existing categoriesParticipate in product ideation and roadmap developmentSupport future category expansion initiativesDesign for performance, durability, fit, aesthetics, and brand alignmentBuild detailed tech packs (construction details, points of measure, material and hardware callouts) and own BOMs and cost breakdowns (CBDs)Select materials and hardware (webbing, nylon, neoprene, foam, leather, textiles, buckles, trims) with cost and manufacturability in mindManage the day-to-day development and sampling of assigned projects, including hands-on sample rounds and fit sessionsWork cross-functionally with merchandising and costing teams to take concepts to final product, and manage production handoff with accurate specsOwn development timelines and the calendar from concept to handoff, milestones, prototype rounds, WIPs, and material lead timesFlag delays and risks early and keep development and launch schedules currentAbility to manage multiple projects across multiple seasons at a timeWhat We're Looking For:A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, multitasks, and reacts quicklyStrong organizational, project management, and communication skillsA genuine passion for strength, fitness, and performance gearStrong knowledge of the fitness industry and training productsHas personally owned both the design and the development of products brought to market (this is the core of the role)A portfolio or track record that shows products taken from concept sketch through to productionStrong sewn-product / cut-and-sew construction knowledge and the ability to build clear, production-ready tech packsSolid materials and hardware fluencyComfortable negotiating cost, MOQs, and timelines directly with overseas factories, with an eye on marginStrong Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop2+ years in softgoods development and design: apparel, accessories, sporting goods, tactical gear, bags/packs, or consumer productsNice to Have:CAD/3D tools (Fusion 360, Blender, Clo3D)PLM, BOM, and cost-sheet experience a plusBenefits/Perks:Competitive PayCompany paid holidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)Gymreapers on-site gym!Newly renovated HQ!401(k) with up to a 4% employer matchLife Flight Program, VoluntaryEmployee Assistance Program50% Employee Discount100% Employer Paid: Medical, Dental and Vision100% Employer Paid: Short-term and Long-term disability - life insurance for both employee and spouse/dependentsHealth Savings Account (HSA) employee optionGymreapers LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
