If you are a technically minded, detail-driven engineer who thrives in a fast-paced product development environment, we want to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Product Design Engineer I, you will provide engineering design and support for all aspects of Puck products to ensure functionality, quality, cost, performance, and on-time delivery.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Creating and updating part and small-assembly models in accordance with the Engineering Standards ManualModeling routing for electrical and hydraulic systems, fasteners, and specification calloutsMaintaining the Puck part library for both manufactured and purchased parts in accordance with the Engineering Standards ManualOrganizing and structuring models to align with manufacturing flow and product configurationsReviewing and updating CAD models and print documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for all materials, including fasteners, plumbing, wiring, purchased parts, manufactured parts, and assembliesPerforming basic engineering calculations — such as stress, tolerance stack-ups, and power — to support assigned design workEnsuring bills of materials (BOMs) accurately reflect production-floor requirementsContributing to product specification documentationCoordinating updates to customer-facing assets such as owner, technical, and parts manuals resulting from ECOs or related design changesParticipating in First Article Inspection (FIT) activities on the production floor and assisting in creating FIT documentationFacilitating incoming inspection of purchased parts for first-article approvalPerforming small-part FEA and failure analysis under the supervision of Senior Design EngineersSupporting senior engineers with design tasks and related documentationParticipating in product design meetings including stand-ups, design reviews, project hand-offs, and manufacturing hand-offsCompleting assigned EWR workWhat We're Looking ForCompetencies:Technical CapacityProblem Solving/AnalysisStrategic ThinkingFinancial ManagementLeadershipPerformance ManagementBusiness AcumenCommunication ProficiencyProfessionalismRequired Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED or higherMinimum 3 years of related design engineering experiencePreferred Education & Experience:Associate's degree or higher in engineering or a related scienceMinimum 2 years of design engineering experiencePhysical RequirementsThis role is primarily office-based with some time in production and outdoor environments.

Team members must be able to:Stand, walk, sit, and alternate positions throughout the dayUse hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as neededOccasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs.Maintain close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusWork EnvironmentThis role operates primarily in a professional office setting with occasional time in production areas and outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.Relocation At this time, relocation assistance is not available for this position.
