Electro-Mechanical Product Design EngineerITT Inc. is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Product Design Engineer with mid-level development experience in the connector industry to join the team.Essential ResponsibilitiesGeneral engineering product setup, design and managementEngineering BOM creation, documentation creation and updatesDesign of new components and assembliesManage and plan multiple activities related to Engineering, Product Management and Operational support for new product developmentMulti-functional team member representing Product EngineeringTesting support and overview within a Product Evaluation LabWork closely with Field Application EngineeringRequires visibility to export controlled documents and informationPosition RequirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.7+ years' experience in Electro-Mechanical product design in connectorsCREO Parametric 3D Modeling/Documentation experienceASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing, including GD&TAbility to manage multiple tasksHighly self-motivated and a willingness to make a differenceExcellent communication skills and ability to work with different departments.Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Excel, Word etc...Preferred Additional Qualifications:Experience in electrical connectors and the Aerospace & Defense industry.Experience in Filters, Fiber Optics, Micro-miniature and/or High-Speed Data transfer a plusKnowledge in the use of high-performance thermoplastics, aluminums and copper alloys and the manufacturing requirements needed to utilize themKnowledge in MIL-DTL, Mil-STD and similar industry specifications and requirements.Experience in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Design for Manufacturability (dfM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) principles.The ability to travel periodically (up to 20%)Safety is a core value at ITT.
