Product Data AnalystHearst Television is seeking a Product Data Analyst to support analytics initiatives that inform teams across our digital ecosystem. In this role, you will work closely with product, content, and digital revenue teams to support reporting needs, maintain dashboards, and analyze user engagement and monetization performance. You will help translate data into clear insights that support decision-making, while contributing to a collaborative and data-informed culture.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytically curious, and eager to grow their skills in digital and product analytics within a dynamic media environment.Core ResponsibilitiesCreate, maintain and enhance dashboards and reports that support business stakeholdersEnsure reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned with defined metricsCross-Functional CollaborationWork with product, engineering, and revenue teams to support analytics and reporting needsGather requirements and clarify business questions for analysisAd Hoc AnalysisConduct exploratory analyses to identify trends and support performance reportingSummarize findings in a clear and structured format for stakeholdersData Quality & ValidationAssist in validating data accuracy and identifying discrepancies in reportingSupport data quality checks and contribute to maintaining reliable datasetsExperimentation SupportDrive A/B testing efforts by preparing data and analyzing resultsAssess and communicate experiment outcomes and key takeawaysTechnical Competencies & SkillsData Visualization & BI Tools: Experience using BI tools such as Power BI (or similar) to build and update dashboardsDigital Analytics Platforms: Proficiency in GA4 or similar tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics) for tracking and reporting user behaviorSQL & Data Analysis: Comfortable using SQL for querying and analyzing datasetsProduct & Digital Analytics Fundamentals: Solid understanding of metrics and definitions for user engagement, funnels, and KPIsData Handling: Experience working with structured data from multiple sourcesAnalytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and communicate findings clearlyCommunication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to a variety of audiencesExperience & QualificationsExperience: 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, digital analytics, or a related fieldEducation: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field preferredAdaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving prioritiesAttention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy, validation, and quality in all outputsCompensationThe salary for this role is $60,000-$85,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law.
