An established manufacturer of industrial products is hiring a Product Engineer. This is an individual contributor role that leads small-to-medium new product development and cost reduction projects from concept through production.
What you'll do
- Lead NPD and cost improvement projects for assigned product categories
- Own engineering specs, manufacturability, testing, and compliance
- Work with product management, industrial design, manufacturing, and suppliers to build and validate prototypes
- Maintain drawings, BOMs, and engineering change orders
What you'll need
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS a plus)
- 5–7 years of hands‑on product development and project management, ideally in manufactured goods
- Experience with sheet metal, extrusions, welding, machining, and injection molded plastics
- SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with DFMEA/PFMEA
- 10–20% travel (domestic and international)
