It's our goal to hire high-energy, diverse, bright, creative, and flexible individuals who thrive in a fast-paced work environment.Some of the sweetest perks we offer aren't in a typical benefit package like hefty discount on items we carry – as in 50% or more off retail prices, free weekly lunches, and pretty rad company parties.Are you ready to set the standard for Premium apparel?Major Responsibilities:Cross functional collaboration daily with PD, Design and buyingAllocate, source and develop high quality yarn & fabricIdentify problem areas and provide viable solutions, which includes foreshadowing any potential future issuesCollaborate closely with Design to ensure quality intent and cost intent are clearLead WIP tracking and factory performance to ensure on-time deliveriesLead partnership with factories to ensure cost negotiation, while also maintaining aesthetic and quality requirementsBe the main point of contact/communicator of changes and alerts cross-functional departments (Buyers, PD, Design, Tech and Purchasing)Communicate with millsCommunicate with factoriesProvide price targets and guidance within the teamEnter all yarns into PLM and LG'sManaging the data entry for knits in PLMBuild platformed yarns across brandsSourcing new core yarnsFollowing up on all FIS's for yarn sourcedWorking with Design cross-functionally, selecting and sourcing yarn for each season.Support the development and organization of a comprehensive yarn library for the R&D team.Partner with PLM to track, trace and maintain accurate records of all yarnsAttend fabric shows and mill appointments as neededAssist in creation and implementation of product development calendarsManage multiple brands or categories to oversee the fabric research and development process to its entiretyComplete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by managementRequired Competencies:Possess strong knowledge of yarn, fabric, trims, quality and developmentsKnowledge of garment construction and finishingStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership skillsStrong analytical and decision making skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to ensure deliveries are metProactive, self-motivated, advanced knowledge of how to delegate and still meet deadlines with "get it done" attitudeStrong attention to detail and mistakes and problem solving skillsMinimum Qualifications:2 year college education5 years experience in Product Development within the Knitwear CategoryBasic knowledge of PLM software, excel, outlook, googlePreferred Qualifications:4 year college education10 years experience in Product Development within the Knitwear CategoryExtensive knowledge of PLM software, excel, outlook, googleExtensive knowledge of PD and Production including and how bulk is both landedshipped and affects costing across the boardUnderstanding of platforming fabrics and how this affects bottom line and T+AMust be able to perform efficiently with tight deadlinesGoal drivenA successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
