Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, supporting sourcing initiatives, and ensuring procurement processes align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize procurement software and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards to support purchasing activities.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, calculate order costs, review invoices for accuracy, and maintain procurement records.
  • Track and monitor goods and services to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal departments to support early engagement in procurement planning and sourcing strategies.
  • Support the RFQ process, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and sourcing initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying and developing alternative sources of supply while monitoring supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with project teams, vendors, purchasing organizations, and leadership to optimize cost, quality, cash flow, and service levels.
  • Oversee delivery of equipment, materials, and services, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to company procurement policies, procedures, and responsible sourcing practices.
  • Prepare and update procurement reports, pricing analysis, and purchasing records.
  • Support organizational sourcing strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
  • Experience working in a heavy manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, including Oracle Financials, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, reporting, and data analysis).
  • Experience with procurement, purchasing, purchase orders, inventory tracking, and supplier management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
