Procurement Specialist
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer
Job Objectives: To requisition and purchase supplies, equipment, materials, and parts used in the schools and technology department.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare student participation spreadsheets to use when allocating the amount of commodity parts to be delivered to each location.
- Communicate effectively with Coordinator of Technology, Bookkeepers and School Administrators.
- Receives, examines, and processes requisitions, prepares bid specifications and other necessary documents related to the purchase.
- Compares costs and evaluates the quality and suitability of product.
- Corresponds with vendors. Keeps informed of new products and market conditions and trends.
- Confers with and assists the Coordinator of Technology in determining purchasing needs and specifications.
- Confers with State Department to ensure procurement process is properly followed.
- Maintains records containing copy of bid request sent, all respondents, and company bid was awarded to.
- Analyzes purchasing trends to determine if an agency contract or statewide contract would benefit the system.
- Assist Coordinator of Technology with technology processing and ordering.
- Assists the CTO with ERate Process

- Complete assignments and requirements on time and in compliance with the Coordinator of Technology
- Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate records and file reports promptly
- Maintain confidentiality of information and records for students and staff
- Communicate effectively with students, peers, and administrators, parents, and the public
- Exhibit stellar interpersonal skills by projecting a positive image when dealing with students, peers, administrators, parents and the public
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
