Procurement ManagerJob Location: MIDDLETOWN, OHIO, USA Type of Contract: RegularJob Summary: The Procurement Manager will lead sourcing and purchasing efforts within their region and will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage the procurement process and strategy within their assigned region and businesses.
Responsibilities include a combined individual contribution and team leadership in developing procurement and purchasing resources, finding opportunities through spend analysis, developing sourcing strategies for materials, assets, and services used in the construction industry, creating a Procurement Roadmap, and developing shared goals with the leadership of the region.Main Responsibilities:Manage and develop supplier performance, relationships, and agreements for categories, while collaborating with stakeholders to create a competitive advantage for both the assigned region and Colas USADirectly manages a team of procurement resources to support procurement and purchasing objectives.Teach and cultivate members of the team including peers and other non-direct line reports to improve procurement professionalism and performanceManage cross-functional teams using analysis of historical spend data, market research and cost modeling to identify and leverage high value opportunities that deliver innovative and sustainable value, operational efficiencies, and risk mitigation to the businessInteracts with internal business partners to achieve involvement in procurement and proposal activitiesCoordinate sourcing activities with Corporate ProcurementDevelop procurement roadmaps in support of your companies' objectives and in line with the Colas USA corporate visionDevelop negotiation strategies for large contracts, work with inside counsel to identify and incorporate appropriate levels of commercial protection, and conduct negotiations to achieve the best possible outcome for both the assigned region and Colas USAUtilize spend analysis to leverage company spend locally, nationally and globally to ensure financial benefit to the companyProvide market and opportunity analysis to stakeholdersPrepare and negotiate contract terms and conditions for agreementsAnalyze contract documents to determine contractual obligations, and preparing recommendations regarding acceptance or modificationsIdentification, vetting, and selection of new vendors and servicesEstablish and maintain professional relationships with suppliers based on the highest ethical business practices.Act as the primary liaison to suppliers within your marketplace and use market research and spend analysis tools to analyze supplier performanceMaintain P2P compliance for all purchases as set out in the Procurement PolicyIdentify and anticipate business needs; develop recommendations and solutionsDevelop, manage, and influence implementation of policies related to supplier commitmentsCollect, analyze, and develop a sourcing plan and conduct sourcing activities while ensuring delivery and quality requirements are satisfiedHelp to identify and manage Key Performance Indicators relevant to procurement activities for their assigned region, report out these KPIs to both area leadership and to Colas USA Corporate ProcurementEducation:Bachelor's degree requiredMaster's degree or M.B.A preferredMinimum 5-7 years of strategic sourcing experience in a large manufacturing environment with exposure to engineering, plant operations, and/or maintenance requiredSourcing experience in indirect, fleet, construction equipment, manufacturing equipment, or services a plusExperience in Coupa or other S2P platforms a plusSkills:Ability to effectively manage projects across the procurement organizationAbility to lead a team of cross functional procurement professionals to drive strategic vision and performanceBalance of strong negotiation and relationship building skills a mustExperience with spend analysis to develop a sourcing strategyAbility to demonstrate leadership in category management and the Strategic Sourcing ProcessExecution oriented, with a strong sense of urgency around tangible resultsNetworking and influencing skillsProject Management Skills - Ability to organize and execute tasks; manage multiple projectsEffective decision makingWell-developed communication and negotiation skillsCategory strategy development and executionStrong time management, organizational, and presentation skillsAbility to work under pressure with deadlinesAbility to transfer knowledge to othersExperience working with e-procurement toolsExcellent Excel and PowerPoint skillsTravel: 25%Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
