Procurement Lead | AI scaleup | NYC

Hybrid, NYC based (option for in-office NY working or fully remote, however must be East Coast)

You’ll be fantastic here if you are a strategist as much as an executor - Very much a doer on a fast-track career trajectory who likes rolling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty. This is a career-defining opportunity to genuinely build and own, working with the smartest people in the industry on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Design procurement policy, approval workflows, and select/implement P2P tooling from scratch
• Own negotiation and management of cloud and GPU/compute contracts
• Track and optimise usage-based/consumption pricing
• Audit and rationalise SaaS spend; build software approval processes
• Lead commercial negotiations across all categories
• Partner with Legal on contract terms, including AI-specific clauses
• Build spend visibility and reporting; partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation
• Design procurement policy, approval workflows and an operating framework
• Partner cross functionally, with a particular focus on Legal, Finance, Accounting, GTM, Product & Engineering, Accounts Payable

Candidate profile:

• Has ideally built a procurement function from the ground up, utilising AI as much as possible to support commercial decision making
• Significant exposure across SaaS, usage-based pricing and professional services
• Direct experience negotiating cloud/infrastructure contracts
• Established business partner who is able to advise, challenge and influence
