We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineering and Supplier Transition professional to lead supplier transition programs and ensure smooth operational continuity. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, program management expertise, and hands‑on experience managing supplier qualification, cutover, and supply chain integration activities across global operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end supplier transition programs, managing transitions from Supplier A to Supplier B, including hand‑offs to production buyers.
  • Develop and execute detailed transition plans, including timelines, inventory build, cutover strategy, and run‑out planning.
  • Coordinate ERP system updates and ensure supplier master data accuracy for transactional readiness.
  • Ensure continuity of supply through PO coverage, delivery adherence, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Maintain and manage program risk and issue logs, driving mitigation and escalation as required.
  • Act as a primary interface between suppliers and customer plant teams, including sourcing, quality, and inspection.
  • Oversee PPAP planning and execution in compliance with Customer Quality Procedures (CQP).
  • Manage First Article Inspection (FAI) processes at supplier facilities or remotely.
  • Drive Supplier Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Product Deviation Notices (PDN) to timely closure.
  • Support Supplier Process Audits, document findings, and implement recommendations.
  • Apply engineering knowledge in GD&T, materials, and drawing interpretation to support inspection plans.
  • Support ECN (Engineering Change Notice) management and new product development (NPD) projects.
  • Monitor and report supplier quality KPIs, expedite unresolved issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and qualify alternate suppliers to mitigate risk and ensure supply continuity.
  • Collaborate effectively with global cross‑functional teams including Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Plastics, Manufacturing, Industrial) or related discipline.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in supplier transition and qualification programs.
  • Proven program management skills including scheduling, milestone tracking, and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and supplier master data management.
  • Experience in inventory build, cutover, and run‑out planning.
  • Familiarity with procurement engineering, production buying operations, and supplier contract terms.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in large‑scale data handling and KPI dashboards.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FAI, CAPA, PDN, and ECN processes.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawing interpretation, materials, ASTM and equivalent Asian standards.
  • Experience with sheet metal, machined parts, plastics, rubber, electrical, and electro‑mechanical components.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or life sciences industries.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, escalation management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
