Opportunity Overview: Procurement Engineer based in Jupiter, FL 33478. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2).The Procurement Engineer (PE) ensures that the parts ordered and requested maintain the design, license, and tech specs of the associated plant. This engineering position will support project, operational, and outage work when parts are requested from the nuclear fleet.
You will perform evaluations to set-up purchase requirements and associated testing/certification. Additionally, you will conduct item-equivalency evaluations (IEEs) to combat obsolete/unavailable items. You will also review challenges with parts upon receipt, known as OSDDs. Procurement Engineering supports collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Licensing teams to guide fleet-wide success.Your day-to-day will include:Perform fundamental to complex engineering activities requiring application of standard techniques through nuclear industry standards and regulationsParticipate in analysis and evaluation of engineering problemsDevelop test activities to evaluate recommended solutions and analyze data for result inconsistenciesProvide oversight for engineering vendor activities and perform owners' acceptance reviews on deliverablesCoordinate and serve as technical liaison within nuclear teams and other company departmentsLead discussions and trainings in group settings to resolve problems or coordinate production and operating experienceApply nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situationsEnsure successful implementation of all assigned projects with schedule ownershipSupport refueling outages, emergent modifications, and other Procurement Engineering responsibilitiesWho you are:Bachelor's - EngineeringExperience 0-5 yearsPreferred qualifications: Nuclear Experience, NAMS Asset Suite Experience, Test Engineer or Hands-on Experience with Equipment, Microsoft Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel), AI Experience using NEE.AI, CoPilot, ChatGBT – Specifically the assistant functionalityOur safety pledge to you: If you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
