This unique chance allows you to shape overall strategy, spark innovation, and make a lasting imprint on a thriving company.As a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, you will be in charge of crafting and implementing the company-wide procurement strategy covering more than 30 manufacturing sites. Your role will involve overseeing strategic sourcing, managing commodity risks, fostering supplier relationships, handling category management, supervising indirect procurement, and spearheading digital transformation efforts that directly impact profits and long-term success.RolesCreate and implement the company's procurement strategy to align with growth, profit margins, supply consistency, and shareholder value.Oversee procurement for ingredients, packaging, contract manufacturing, MRO, logistics, capital equipment, indirect expenses, IT, facilities, and corporate services.Establish exceptional category management and strategic sourcing capabilities.Manage commodity risk for agricultural inputs like grains, edible oils, sweeteners, dairy, cocoa, and related commodities.Achieve quantifiable cost savings, optimize working capital, drive supplier innovation, and boost EBITDA.Lead procurement transformation through analytics, AI-driven decision tools, automation, and digital advancements.Cultivate strategic supplier relationships to enhance innovation, resilience, quality, and customer value.Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Commercial, Quality, Engineering, and R&D to support company-wide goals.Construct, mentor, and nurture a high-performing procurement team while fostering an ethos of responsibility, cooperation, and continuous enhancement.RequirementsAt least 15 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership.Executive leadership background in the commercial baking industry.Rich experience in managing commodity-based supply chains and agricultural inputs.Proven track record in delivering cost savings, enhancing supplier performance, optimizing working capital, and leading procurement metamorphosis.Experience in overseeing procurement for intricate, multi-site manufacturing setups with over $500M in managed spend.Bachelor's degree is a prerequisite; MBA or advanced degree is desirable.Why Us?This is a unique opportunity to shape the enterprise strategy of a large and thriving food producer, where procurement is regarded as a strategic partner in business—not just a purchasing unit.
