And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.Job Summary: We are seeking a Procurement Agent who will serve as a key leader and collaborative member of the procurement team, working closely with cross-functional partners including Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Program Controls, Program Management, Shipping/Receiving/Inventory, Finance, Accounts Payable, and other supply chain areas such as Material Planning and Supplier/Compliance Operations. This role is responsible for leading strategic procurement initiatives, managing complex supplier negotiations, supporting process improvement efforts, contributing to CPSR compliance implementation, and executing purchase orders.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a proactive mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to driving process efficiency and procurement excellence. This is an onsite role at our office in El Segundo, California.Position Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectivesPartner with engineers and other internal stakeholders to ensure source selection and procurements meet program requirements (schedule, cost, and quality)Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day issues, questions, and status inquiriesWork with the manager to support the development and implementation of new changes/goalsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Material Planning and Supplier/Compliance Operations, to support overall supply chain efficiencyResponsible for analyzing and understanding team performance metrics (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement, and implementing tactical solutions that drive measurable gains in procurement efficiency, cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time deliveryEffectively guide and motivate team membersWork with the manager to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with supply chain goalsInterpret data, identify patterns, and make informed decisionsIdentify root causes, develop creative solutions, and implement effective resolutions within the teamActively manage the procurement process by placing orders and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillmentProvide oversight of FAR/DFARS compliance and ensure team adherence to internal processes in alignment with DCAA audit requirements and AS9100 standardsMaintain audit readiness and support continuous improvement to meet regulatory and quality expectationsMust be able to communicate with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholdersMust be flexible and able to pivot strategies as needed to respond to evolving disruptions. Ability to adapt to challenges and obstacles to achieve objectivesCreate and implement processes and strategies such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Blanket Purchase Orders, Long-Term Agreements, and future forecastingPlay a key role in the process improvement of the MRP system to enhance procurement efficiencyDevelop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external suppliers to facilitate collaboration and performanceAssist understanding reoccurring issues with Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory management as necessaryHost and/or lead technical calls with suppliers and engineers to resolve issues and drive innovationBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Minimum of 7 years' experience in procurementThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S.

clearance Post Start is requiredExperienced with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in aerospace, preferred with buyingFamiliarity with FAR/DFARS and relevant procurement regulationsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years' of relevant experience in Procurement, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldExperience as an Aerospace Buyer or Subcontracts AdministrationAPICS/ASCM CertificationKnowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirementsActive Security Clearance SAP/SARComfortable briefing all levels of leadership
