The Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of approximately 5 - 8 machine operators and warehouse personnel engaged in the receipt, storage, processing, and packaging of products and materials in their facility.The ideal candidate would be someone who has 3-5 years of supervising experience, experience working in a warehouse doing shipping and receiving, inventory control, cycle counts, handling personnel, and is comfortable filling in and doing all duties of the warehouse and shop when needed. Someone who has a degree in any industrial field like mechanical engineering, industrial technology, project management, etc., and wants to get into a great long-term career opportunity with room for growth and great benefits would be a great candidate for this position.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the operations manager to support the successful completion of daily operations, department objectives, and company goals.Provide direct supervision of processing personnel, including performance management, employee development, and training.Review production schedules and determine staffing, labor, and resource requirements needed to complete assigned work.Review and interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders, and communicate job requirements and responsibilities to processing staff.Establish, modify, and implement work processes to maintain production schedules while maximizing the capabilities of available machinery and equipment.Identify and recommend opportunities to improve production processes, equipment performance, product quality, and overall department efficiency.Track and maintain accurate inventory accountability through processing reports, cycle counts, and other inventory control measures.Review labor time reports to identify opportunities to improve productivity, maximize labor utilization, and reduce downtime.Oversee order processing to maximize material utilization, improve yield, and reduce scrap.Identify and implement ideas for ongoing improvements to manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment.Monitor and maintain accountability for all tooling, materials, and supplies used within the processing department.Lead, coach, and develop processing employees in quality systems, production standards, and continuous improvement practices to achieve and exceed established performance metrics.Assist with processing department duties as needed to maintain workflow and ensure customer orders are completed and shipped on schedule.Consistently follow all safety requirements, quality standards, handbook policies, and established procedures.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent3–5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or bachelor's degree5+ years of supervisory experienceExperience using ACAD or a comparable drafting, drawing, or nesting software programCore CompetenciesDemonstrates a strong work ethic, accountability, and self-motivationMaintains a high level of integrity and sets a positive example for team membersProven ability to motivate, coach, train, and develop employeesAbility to promote a culture focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and forward thinkingStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational, problem-solving, time management, and multitasking abilitiesStrong ability to analyze information, track performance, and maintain accurate accountabilityCompensation & BenefitsCareer advancement opportunities within operations and manufacturingBenefits package may include:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement plan optionsSafety and skills training programsWork EnvironmentIndustrial warehouse and metal processing environmentFrequent exposure to machinery, moving equipment, metal products, noise, heat, and humidityRequires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and material handling throughout the shiftRegular lifting of materials up to 50 lbsStrong focus on workplace safety, quality, and operational efficiency
