Processing ClerkThe Processing Clerk is responsible for production, inventory, shipping, document control, and information technology functions to ensure accurate material tracking, efficient shop operations, and timely project execution. This position serves as a key resource for production documentation, inventory reconciliation, reporting, and employee technical support.Minimum Starting Salary: $21.00/hr depending on experience Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pmEssential Functions:Prepare, verify, and audit cut lists for shop production; scan and distribute documents as required.Audit shipping tickets on a weekly and monthly basis and report shipments for month-end closeout activities.Maintain cut list logs and provide documentation to Production Control for job folder creation.Review and correct invalid cut sheets to ensure accuracy and production efficiency.Coordinate structural material inventory and report findings to management.Reconcile purchase orders against packing lists upon receipt of materials.Assist Document Control with printing shop tags and related documentation as needed.Support Document Control functions and perform assigned administrative duties.Record truck mileage, maintain tracking spreadsheets, provide reports to the Shipping Manager, and scan receipts for Accounting.File and maintain signed shipping tickets and related records.Provide assistance to employees with Tekla software and general IT-related issues.Set up, configure, and deploy new desktop and laptop computers.Receives released drawings from detail department and enters required information into production control database.Reviews the bill of materials on drawings and enters information into database.Maintains database inventory to ensure database and physical counts matchRun ad-hoc reports in software database for production controlContribute to a team responsible for document flow and distribution.Includes inputting documents into Tekla for projects.Store and retrieve necessary documentation.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience with numbers, fractions and reading a tape measureExperience using Tekla EPM/EPM Go preferred.Knowledge of how shop flow works in miscellaneous steel fabrication company.Knowledge of steel shapes and sizes is preferred.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprintsProficient with MS Office, MS Windows and Bluebeam PDF ProgramsKnowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, as well as PDF review and editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe).Ability to analyze and solve problems.Ability to complete work and respond to messages promptly.Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to change.Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.QualificationsHigh School DiplomaStrong Organizational and record keeping skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with data entry with minimal errorsDetail Oriented, ability to prioritize, and manage timeExperience with Tekla software is preferredPhysical Requirements:Sedentary predominantly operates within an office setting.Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 25-50 pounds.Additional InformationAlamo Structural Steel is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace that complies with ADA regulations.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
