Job DescriptionBasic Function of the Job:Support wafer and chip production in all areas of the Semiconductor Fab, focusing on chip pick and place. Additional responsibilities include: prepare materials for shipment to customers, assist with general maintenance in the Fab, and assist in waste water treatment operations and hazardous waste management.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentDemonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvementExperience with networked PC based computer systemSkillsMust be able to handle small (mm size) die with tweezers with precisionPrevious experience in semiconductor die/chip handling highly desirable, but not necessaryExcellent hand-eye coordination and comfortable with working on microscope-based tasksAttention to detailsDemonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closelyAbility to work independently with minimal guidance from the supervisor on specific tasksWork with a high standard of ethics, professionalism, and competenceAbility to keep the workplace safe, clean, and orderlyGood interpersonal and communication skillsBasic level of skills in MS Word and MS ExcelWorking ConditionsThis position is on-siteRegular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessaryInteraction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the jobMay require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive's needsPhysical RequirementsSitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.Safety RequirementsAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
