Process TechnicianThis position provides daily leadership of personnel and manufacturing processes in a production cell. The Process Technician makes decisions that optimize company goals and objectives, ensures product quality, and provides leadership to cell team members.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe work environment, enforce shop safety rules, and uphold housekeeping standardsCoordinate daily cell functions to ensure efficient operation of production equipment and personnel utilization while maintaining product qualityCollaborate with Process Technicians on adjacent shifts for efficient turnover of operationsCommunicate daily with all shift personnel and the Production Manager/Shift CoordinatorImplement company policies and procedures fairly and consistentlyComplete job-related reports and documentation in a timely manner (production reports, machine setups, process data, etc.)Identify potential problems with machinery, molds, process criteria, and auxiliary equipment that could affect quality or production schedulesUse blue and red tag system to flag issues and make repair recommendationsTroubleshoot and repair equipment problems contributing to downtime, inefficiency, and scrapDevelop team spirit and motivate employees to achieve maximum performanceMaintain setup sheets and log process changes during productionPerform process setup including mold setup, press setup, and auxiliary equipment setupMake process adjustments, apply molding techniques, operate molding machines and auxiliary equipment, monitor cycle times, and minimize scrap ratesDirect employees and contract personnel from other departments as neededCooperate with other departments to ensure product quality meets customer needsRequirementsWork Night Shift 2:2:3 scheduleExperience in manufacturing process managementLeadership and personnel management skillsKnowledge of molding techniques and equipmentProblem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesStrong communication skillsFamiliarity with quality control proceduresAbility to maintain accurate documentationUnderstanding of safety protocols and standards#M1 Ref: #282-Eng Pgh
