Process TechnicianPay Rate: $29/hr Location: Hillsboro, OR 40 hours per weekCompressed schedule (3–4 days per week)OverviewWe are seeking a Process Technician to support semiconductor process engineering and metrology operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves performing technical tests, operating specialized process equipment, and assisting engineering teams in troubleshooting and optimizing manufacturing processes.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong technical aptitude, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform technical tests and experiments to support process engineering initiativesSet up and operate process equipment and laboratory tools used in semiconductor manufacturingOperate metrology equipment, including particle counters, film thickness measurement systems, and related tools to qualify process equipment and optimize processesRecord and document test results, preparing charts, graphs, and reports as requiredAdjust hardware and software parameters to troubleshoot issues or conduct experimentsWork closely with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve process or integration problemsPerform minor electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on equipmentConduct preventive and unscheduled maintenance on process equipmentMaintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and lab output performanceRequired QualificationsAssociate degree (AA) or equivalent experience3–4 years of semiconductor processing experience, preferably in thin film deposition or etch processesExperience working in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environmentExperience troubleshooting and maintaining vacuum-based processing equipmentStrong technical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with semiconductor metrology tools and process equipmentProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindsetWork EnvironmentThis role operates in a semiconductor cleanroom manufacturing environment and may involve:Working in confined areas or elevated locationsWearing cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment (PPE)Standing or walking for extended periods (up to 10,000+ steps per shift)Lifting or carrying objects up to 35 poundsBending, stooping, crawling, or climbing as requiredEmployees must follow strict safety and environmental procedures when working around chemicals, electrical systems, high voltage equipment, and moving mechanical components.Additional InformationCompressed work schedule (3–4 days per week)Occasional overnight travel to training facilities or manufacturing sites may be requiredTeam-oriented environment with opportunities to collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams
