Process Technician Cutting - D Shift

It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitor team members to ensure compliance with manufacturing documentation and assist with updates to Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).Direct and coordinate daily activities for the assigned work team to meet production goals.Facilitate and support training for associates within designated work areas.Ensure process documentation is accurate, complete, and properly handed off between shifts.Manage attendance reporting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Collaborate with Production Leads and associates across shifts to share best practices, drive standardization, and ensure seamless shift transitions.Respond to production issues by leading root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions, and escalating concerns as needed.Coordinate and support equipment upgrades, standardization efforts, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.Provide guidance to Cutting Associates on proper procedures, methodologies, and operational best practices.Verify machines are configured and operating according to established specifications.Support employee development by responding to training needs and department requests.Proactively identify and address potential problems before they impact production.Provide input on performance evaluations and performance improvement plans.Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and ensure consistent implementation of process changes.Learn and qualify on cutting machine operations and in-process inspections to provide coverage during absences and breaks when necessary.Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.Additional ExpectationsEnsure manufactured products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.Meet or exceed operational objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.SupervisionThis position does not have direct supervisory responsibility for associates.Education & ExperienceMinimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required.Minimum ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry.Previous Cutting Operator experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCore CompetenciesStrong verbal and written communication skillsLean Manufacturing principlesProcess pre-control methodologiesForklift operationAdvanced CompetenciesMechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skillsLeadership and team guidanceAbility to systematically analyze and troubleshoot equipment issuesWorking knowledge of quality control specifications, blueprints, GMP requirements, and operating manuals related to production processesPhysical DemandsPhysical Capacity Profile: Level 4Work EnvironmentManufacturing environment; site-specific requirements apply.Why Join Us?To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
