Process TechnicianThe Process Technician supports extrusion operations by setting up, monitoring, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role partners closely with operators, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot process issues, improve performance, and reduce downtime. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a hands-on mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement in a startup manufacturing environment.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport daily extrusion operations with a focus on productivity, quality, and downtime reductionAssist extrusion operators with troubleshooting and process adjustments when profiles are out of specificationMonitor process parameters and recommend changes to improve output, yield, and consistencyCollaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve process, material, or equipment issuesSupport startup activities including line ramp-up, changeovers, and operator trainingMaintain and update process documentation, run sheets, and training recordsEnsure required documentation is completed accurately and on timeParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives, product development, experimental trials, and recommend process enhancementsFollow all safety procedures and support LOTO and plant safety programsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a lead operator, process technician, or related manufacturing role.

Preferred: Associate's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.Experience in extrusion, plastics, polymers, or continuous manufacturing preferredWorking knowledge of PLC controls, MES, and SCADA systems.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipersMechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools and support routine equipment adjustmentsAbility to read and follow work instructions, run sheets, and process documentationStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to stand for extended periods, lift up to 100 lbs with assistance, and work on a manufacturing floorAbility to work 12-hour shifts as assigned, willingness to work assigned hours as requiredSkills & AttributesSafety-focused with strong attention to detailAbility to recognize quality issues and material variationComfortable troubleshooting equipment and processesStrong problem-solving and observational skillsTeam-oriented with a positive, adaptable attitudeReliable, punctual, and committed to plant goalsMotivated to improve processes and department performanceAdditional InformationFull-time, onsite role at the Buffalo flagship facilityOpportunity to grow technical skills and support startup-scale manufacturingHands-on role with direct impact on quality and production successCompensation & Benefit Information Salary Pay Range: $28.00-$32.00 per hour dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of livingBonus/Incentive Pay:A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.Benefits currently offered to our employees:Medical insuranceHealth savings account with company contributionDental insuranceVision insuranceBasic and voluntary life insuranceDisability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysStock purchase program with employee discountEducational reimbursementWellness programs and challengesOther supplemental benefitsThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
