nProcess Support Engineer
nOverview:
nThe Process Support Engineer is responsible for developing processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost requirements are met. The Process Support Engineer troubleshoots problems with production and identifies and leads the implementation of manufacturing process improvements. Responsible for satisfying customers by meeting specifications and delivery requirements while pursuing continual improvement and achievement of established Company goals.
nEssential Duties:
n• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and rules.
n• Promote a safety awareness and commitment at all times.
n• Maintain confidentiality of information received, created, or processed.
n• Support operations by assisting in troubleshooting, setting up and running Cold Heading machinery as needed.
n• Assist as the supervision of production employees.
n• Assist in continuous improvement activities to support customer corrective actions, internal corrective / preventive actions, error-proofing & general process improvement.
n• Assist in the execution of manufacturing plans.
n• Define, develop and document setup instructions for specific PN’s and equipment.
n• Create process documentation, setup procedures, capacity models, operating instructions and provide training to all affected personnel.
n• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
nMinimum Education Required
nHigh School Diploma
nMinimum Experience Required
nLanguage Ability: Create documents such as standard work, procedures, policies, manuals. Speak effectively to auditors and employees.
nReasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
nComputer Skills: Ability and knowledge relevant to ERP Systems, specifically Global Shop ERP system, and Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
nEducation/Experience: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or minimum 5 years in related field work experience.
n1-5 years’ experience as a Process Engineer preferred, new graduates welcome to apply.
nExperience with multi-die cold heading equipment (e.g., National, Sacma, Hatebur or equivalent).
nOther Abilities and Skills:
n· Ability to read and interpret engineering-related documents and technical documents.
n· Strong verbal communication skills to exchange information with others clearly and concisely. Ability to present ideas, facts, information of a technical nature.
n· Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, managing multiple priorities and making decisions that affect the Company’s success and profitability.
n· Ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a courteous, effective, and efficient manner, representing WCS in a professional manner
