Process Mechanical Principal Engineer

Provide technical direction to assigned engineers

Conduct construction document reviews as required
nPlan, organize, and coordinate process / mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team / design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup
nPrepare and review calculations and specifications relating to Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development.
nDemonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems and equipment design
nGenerate and review the accuracy of design / evaluation calculations, and specifications
nFamiliarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
nBasic Job Requirements
nMust be a U.S. Citizen.
nBachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
nMust have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design
nProfessional Engineer License preferred, but not required

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
