Develops, writes, and/or tests manufacturing processes, tooling requirements, and other manufacturing needs using predetermined methods.Responsibilities as a Process Engineering Technician 2:Develops, controls, and maintains a variety of manufacturing work instructions and other support documentation materialsTroubleshoots and performs analysis on somewhat complex part, process, and toolingEvaluates, follows-up, and verifies new and existing tooling and fixturing needs in manufacturing and assemblyAnalyzes and initiates moderately complex Document Change Orders (DCOs), internal/external audits, and training programs. Assists in, and may initiate more complex analysis and implementationsPerforms varied but not complex cost / benefit analysis and reporting as assignedApplies "Lean" manufacturing practices in process developmentMaintains safe work environment and employs ergonomically safe practices into manufacturing processesPrograms machines in a production environmentPerforms other duties as assignedSkills and Experiences You'll Need as a Process Engineering Technician 2:Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of work-related experience in basic machining operations, assembly or quality assurance processes and procedures. Drafting and CAD practices preferredAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredAble to use computer software tools for effective design/process analysis and presentationsRequires a working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniquesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPerforms tasks with a high degree of accuracyKnowledge and use of appropriate safety and personal protective equipment requiredMay be required to operate light tools and basic machinery such as lathes, mills and other machine shop equipmentWork Environment for a Process Engineering Technician 2:Normal office environment with occasional travel and frequent exposure to manufacturing operations.Leupold & Stevens, Inc.14400 NW Greenbrier ParkwayBeaverton, Oregon 97006Leupold & Stevens, Inc.
