This role participates in materials, process, project, equipment, and methods development to optimize manufacturing performance.
Responsibilities include planning and executing experimental evaluations, improving process efficiency, supporting equipment maintenance and modifications, and contributing to the development and commercialization of new products.The Process Engineer will lead and support process optimization initiatives, new product trials, and productivity improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance operational effectiveness.Core Competencies:Industrial machinery troubleshootingClear and concise written and verbal communicationStrong organizational and time-management skillsData analysis and interpretationExperience in nonwoven manufacturing (preferred)Behavioral Competencies:Demonstrated PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) project skillsStructured, disciplined approach to daily activitiesAccountability for assigned tasks and outcomesStrong cross-functional collaborationResults-driven mindsetTechnical Competencies:High mechanical aptitudeExperience with Lean Manufacturing methodologiesKnowledge of Design of ExperimentsStatistical analysis capabilityKey Responsibilities (What/How):Provide daily process support to manufacturing operations.Lead root cause analyses to identify and resolve process inefficiencies.Conduct data-driven analyses to support continuous process improvements.Develop, maintain, and update process documentation and standard procedures.Support training activities related to new or revised process procedures.Assist with equipment repairs, replacements, and modifications to improve reliability and functionality.Participate in new product engineering efforts and support plant trials.Physical Demands:This position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. The position requires frequent lifting, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under extreme temperatures.
