Process EngineerA global leader in advanced photonics and semiconductor technology is seeking a Process Engineer to support wafer fabrication process development, optimization, and production at its Sherman, Texas manufacturing facility.This hands-on engineering role is responsible for improving semiconductor manufacturing processes, increasing yield, reducing defects, and supporting new process integration in a cleanroom environment. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop robust manufacturing processes across multiple wafer fabrication modules.The ideal candidate has experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication, enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges through data-driven analysis, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, characterize, and optimize semiconductor wafer fabrication processesSupport process modules including photolithography, wet etch, dry etch, deposition, metallization, anneal, and related manufacturing operationsAnalyze process performance using SPC, process capability studies, engineering statistics, and data analyticsDesign and execute engineering experiments to improve yield, reduce defects, and increase process stabilityDevelop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, process recipes, control plans, and OCAPsSupport new product introductions and process transfers into high-volume manufacturingInvestigate process excursions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, equipment, and product engineering teams to improve operational performanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, scrap reduction, and cycle time improvementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical disciplineMinimum of 3 years of semiconductor process engineering experienceHands-on experience in a semiconductor wafer fabrication or cleanroom manufacturing environmentKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and wafer processing fundamentalsExperience using SPC, process capability analysis, control plans, and engineering statisticsExperience designing and executing engineering experiments (DOE)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience using data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, Python, SQL, or MATLABExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work onsite in Sherman, TexasPreferred QualificationsExperience with compound semiconductors including GaAs or InPBackground in optoelectronics, photonics, or laser device manufacturingExperience supporting lithography, etch, deposition, metallization, or anneal process modulesExperience with new product introductions or process transfers into manufacturingKnowledge of yield improvement, defect reduction, and process optimization methodologiesExperience writing process specifications, SOPs, process recipes, and technical documentationProject management or cross-functional leadership experienceWhy This OpportunityJoin a growing semiconductor manufacturing operation supporting advanced photonics technologiesWork with cutting-edge semiconductor wafer fabrication processes and equipmentGain exposure across multiple process modules in a highly collaborative engineering environmentPlay a direct role in improving manufacturing performance, yield, and production scalabilityCompetitive compensation package including a 12% target annual bonusOpportunity for long-term career growth within a global leader in semiconductor and photonics technologyWork alongside experienced engineering professionals solving challenging manufacturing problems with real-world impact
