We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our Engineering department with US Smokeless Tobacco Company in Hopkinsville, KY.

Your primary role will be to drive continuous improvement by developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes that support safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Working closely with Integrated Work Systems (IWS) teams and cross-functional partners, you will identify opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, and overall operational performance. This position is fully onsite in Hopkinsville, KY, with approximately 30–40% regional travel to Clarksville, TN, and Nashville, TN.What you will be doing:Develop expert level process knowledge of manufacturing operationsProactively identify process constraints and opportunities for improvementAnalyze data and apply problem-solving techniques to facilitate design improvements for processes, systems, and/or equipmentLead and facilitate actions to resolve equipment constraints and challenges as appropriateProvide technical on-floor support during equipment downtime and production issuesCoordinate with OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and internal stakeholdersSupport project FAT/SAT execution, commissioning and qualificationEnsure proper documentation, backups, and change management processesAssist with capital and expense project planning, budgeting, and timelinesIdentify opportunities for automation and process improvementsSupport Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and operational excellence initiativesWhat we want you to have:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field3+ years of engineering technical support experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with VFDs, servo systems, instrumentation, and electrical systemsExperience supporting high-speed automated manufacturing equipmentStrong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in food, beverage or consumer packaged goods manufacturingExperience with automated processing and packaging systemsKnowledge of batch systems and process automationExperience with OEE and manufacturing data systemsKnowledge of OSHA and machine safety standardsThe starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions.
