Come grow with us!Key ResponsibilitiesProcess & EquipmentLearn and continuously improve manufacturing processes; support and troubleshoot process equipment (extrusion, vacuum forming, injection molding, printing, labeling)Assist technicians in diagnosing and resolving equipment and process issuesDevelop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment and processesCreate test parameters and lead testing, data analysis, and implementation of process, equipment, and engineering solutionsContinuous Improvement & Project LeadershipLead a continuous improvement team focused on improving Yield Efficiency (OEE) in the department of focusEstablish and manage continuous improvement plans that raise efficiency, quality, safety, or service levelsLead capital projects from planning through execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with vendors and contractorsManage, prioritize, and complete projects/programs of moderate to large size, scope, and duration, coordinating with engineers, technicians, other stakeholders, and plant floor teamsLead process failure discussions and investigations to ensure consistent solutions across all DepartmentsTranslate broad, conceptual ideas into practical, actionable solutionsLeadership & SafetyEnsure safe work practices are followed at all timesLead by example as a hands-on leader; mentor team members on best practicesPerform all duties in accordance with Growscape valuesPerform other duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsQualifications and ExperienceEducationBachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Chemical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)ExperienceContinuous improvement experience, including LEAN and Six SigmaExperience analyzing production equipment, processes, and materials to diagnose and resolve issuesKnowledge of statistical and quality methodologies, including SPC, 5S, 5 Why, FMEA, DOE, and Root Cause AnalysisPreferred: experience with plastic processes and equipment (injection molding, thermoforming)Preferred: knowledge of raw materials, material properties, and their impact on plastic processingTechnical SkillsStrong chemical and mechanical aptitude, preferably in the plastics industryPractical knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and equipment as applied to design and productionProficiency with CADStrong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Core Skills & AttributesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex, job-related information clearlyStrong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and tasks with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving skills; able to use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and identify strengths/weaknessesComfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentUpward potential to manage others, in addition to this support roleAbility to travel up to 10% as required
