See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position OverviewProvide daily production support to the Brunswick Integrated Manufacturing Center through the Gemba process in order to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost by analyzing process & quality data; utilizing root cause analysis to eliminate variation; implementing engineering changes and work instructions; designing new processes and systems to improve the flow of product through production.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential FunctionsCollaborate and partner with production team leaders to provide proper project selection to ensure projects impact key business initiativesGuide team members in continuous improvement initiatives for fiberglass boat manufacturing facilityManage & lead projects from concept through implementationUtilize Lean Manufacturing tools and methodology to reduce waste and improve quality process controlsAcquire & analyze process and quality data to understand, improve, and measure process improvementsIdentify, attack, and improve bottlenecks by balancing work content for operators, stations, and production linesModify / design / implement processes to improve production flowWork cross-functionally between production, engineering, and product development to reduce defects, improve product flow through the facility, and support new product launchesPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective action to reduce process variationDesign & implement jigs, fixtures, and other production aidsCreate work instructions, quality alerts, and process change notificationsReview manufacturing areas for potential safety hazards and assures that all safety practices are followed while implementing new processesDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mfg Engineering (or equivalent) is requiredMinimum 1-3 years relevant work experienceWorking knowledge and understanding of diverse manufacturing operationsProficient in lean manufacturing tools and process improvement methodologyStrong proficiency in MS Office applications, PIMS & Teamcenter EngineeringSolid comprehension and listening skillsBasic understanding of cost accounting concepts, techniques & principles requiredAbility to read and understand engineering drawing and documentsPreferred QualificationsFormal Lean/Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt certification, strongly preferredExcellent analytical & data analysis skills, careful attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and capable of working independently within deadlinesAbility to maintain a high level of focus & flexibilityDemonstrated solid background of execution.The hiring range for this position is $86,500 - $126,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
