Process EngineerPBF Energy Inc. is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating, through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We have an opportunity at our Martinez Refinery in California and are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy.Process Engineers optimize unit performance to meet the refinery's safety, environmental, and economic objectives. They provide technical support for the operating units; which includes day-to-day and non-routine activities, process optimization, and continuous improvement. Process Engineers are assigned to and work closely with their operations department, while reporting directly to the Process Engineering Group.Job Responsibilities May Include:Use technical knowledge to review, monitor, and respond to process operations in order to: identify potential underlying process safety concernsmeet production and quality targetsoptimize unit performance and yieldsrelieve constraints, improve reliability, and minimize operating expensesProvide support for non-routine events including turnarounds, maintenance, troubleshooting, and projectsSupport the change management process through evaluation of operational and equipment modificationsInterface with internal departments and external resources to provide unit support and identify opportunitiesPosition Specific Requirements:Available in off hours and days to respond to refinery issues or emergencies, including on-call emergency response functions.Mix of computer-based office work and field inspection and testing in refinery plant unitsPhysical Requirements: Climb laddersWalk up and down stepsLift 50 poundsWork in the Following Conditions: At heightsOutside in inclement weatherWork Schedule: Occasionally an altered work schedule over an extended period may be required (maintenance outages and turnarounds)Possess a valid Drivers' LicenseCandidate must have active TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card. The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law.
