Join our collaborative team of self-motivated, independent workers willing to strategize and together work towards the long-term prosperity of the company.Job Summary/Objective:Supporting our Glass Machining Center, the Process Engineer develops and leads improvement projects to increase yields and efficiencies in the manufacturing process.

They foster a collaborative environment and use a methodical scientific approach coupled with their creativity to solve technical challenges.Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processesContribute to engineering projects, serving as a project leader (set priorities, organize resources, maintain timelines and budgets) as neededAnalyze defects and failures to determine root cause and implement corrective actionsDesign and perform experiments to support continual improvement of product quality, process reliability, and process efficiencyPerform risk assessment of process changesAssure appropriate documentation pertaining to process changes and qualification of new systems, tools, and processes occurDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures and training guidelinesTrain, coach, and mentor staff in standard operating proceduresCollaborate with manufacturing staff and the rest of Chroma's Engineering team to expand and improve product offeringsAssist in the development of new analysis capabilities – including those outsourcedRequired Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications:5+ years hands-on experience in thin film manufacturing processesBS in a science related field, such as Physics, Chemistry, or EngineeringA proven track record of leading process improvements in a manufacturing environmentExpertise in the scientific method and designing controlled experimentsExperience in statistical and quantitative analysisExperience in LEAN manufacturing and Statistical Process ControlCompensation and BenefitsPay Range $60,000 - $85,000Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance401K80 Hours Sick/Personal Time and 80 Hours VacationEducation Assistance and Wellness ReimbursementPlease note that the compensation offered to the selected candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
