Process Control Site Leader – Manufacturing (Southeast Georgia)
A large, well-established industrial manufacturer is looking for a Process Control Site Leader to build up the controls function at one of its pulp and fiber mills in southeast Georgia. This leader will grow people, think strategically about where controls investment pays off, solve difficult problems, and work closely with teams across the mill.
Responsibilities
- Own the mill’s control systems and lead the process control team
- Coach and develop each team member’s technical and leadership capability
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering to find opportunities and resolve issues
- Set the controls roadmap and run several projects and support efforts at once
- Deliver controls projects from design and testing through specification, documentation, vendor and contractor management, procurement, installation, and start-up
- Support mill-wide optimization, reliability, quality, cost reduction, capital, and safety initiatives
- Direct team resources to the highest-value priorities
- Own the plant control networks, including DCS, QCS, and PLC platforms
Requirements
- 5+ years of process control experience on DCS platforms
- 3+ years in a leadership role (manager, supervisor, or team lead)
- Experience running multiple projects and priorities at the same time
Preferred
- Pulp and paper industry background
- Honeywell DCS experience
