Job Description
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of adolescent development, individualized instruction, assessment for progress monitoring, and will possess strong case-management skills. All classes in the Alternative Program are co-taught with a special education teacher, and average 8-12 students. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, strategies for active student engagement, use of instructional technology, and assessment for progress monitoring and planning.

Qualifications
New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education (Secondary and/or K-12) is required. Attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27 is required.
