Requirements

    Current ARDMS certification (required)

    Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

    Current BLS certification preferred

    Experience performing a variety of general ultrasound examinations preferred

Job Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a dependable, patient-focused PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This position offers flexible PRN scheduling with opportunities to work at multiple outpatient imaging centers throughout the DFW area.

Responsibilities

    Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Perform a variety of ultrasound studies, including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular (if credentialed), small parts, and other examinations as assigned.

  • n

    Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Obtain and document relevant patient history to assist with diagnostic interpretation.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining exceptional image quality.

  • n
  • n

    Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols.

  • n
  • n

    Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care.

  • n

    Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

    Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations.
