Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with legal and company standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and offering medication counseling
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, potential drug interactions, and appropriate dosage
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for all prescriptions and patient interactions
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of medications
- Stay updated on new pharmaceutical products, regulations, and industry best practices
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid and current pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Proven experience working as a retail pharmacist preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medication therapies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
