PRN PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION

  • Location: Hudson WI 54016 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $64.27/hr
  • Required Availability: As needed role | Approximately 2 scheduled weekend shifts per month (4-week rotation), 3–4 on-call evenings per week
  • Weekend coverage: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Weekday coverage: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • On-Call Schedule - Weekdays: 6:00 PM – 10:00 AM, Weekends: 4:00 PM – 12:00 PM
  • Additional on-call compensation provided for overnight availability and dispensing calls

PRN PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS

The PRN Pharmacist will provide weekend coverage, PTO coverage, and after-hours on-call support while ensuring safe and effective medication management for patients.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PRN PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor medication compliance and identify potential overuse concerns
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and storage
  • Provide guidance on prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Compound medications for internal and external use
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies
  • Identify medication-related concerns and collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers
  • Educate patients on proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards

PRN PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License required
  • Non-sterile compounding experience
  • Preferred: Previous on-call, overnight, or after-hours pharmacy experience
